Blog Post: Single Oil – Copaiba

The 2017 yōu dōTERRA Global Convention was held September 6-9th in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Although I am not slated to attend until the 2018 convention, I imagine convention to be one of the most fantastic opportunities that doTERRA has to offer to its network of Wellness Advocates, leadership teams, and Presidential team leaders.  In addition to dōTERRA campus tours, convention charity events, educational sessions, product showcases, excessive shopping opportunities and a black-tie celebration gala is the most incredible first look at new product releases for the year ahead.  Can you imagine the hype upon hype upon hype?  Convention is viewable via live stream to qualified Wellness Advocates who are not in attendance and I can tell you the hype came through my iMac like white on rice. It was like The Beatles first LIVE appearance on American television at the Ed Sullivan Show in 1964!

Enter new single oil, Copaiba.  Queue hysteria, tears of joy, screaming, and fainting.

My bottle will arrive with my September shipment on early release and it will be wide released for retail in October, but what I have learned about this oil from my leadership upline is this:

doTERRA Copaiba oil is a 4-species blend with a range of supportive characteristics to the nervous system, cellular support, cardiovascular health, emotional balance, immune system support, inflammatory response and reducing neuronal excitability.

The most prevalent compound [60%] in Copaiba is the cannabinoid beta-caryophyllene (BCP).  Copaiba and Cannabis share the same chemical compound, but they are NOT to be confused as one in the same

TO BE CLEAR ON CHEMICAL COMPOUNDS:

  • CBD – interacts with CB1 receptors
  • THC – interacts with CB1 & CB2 receptors
  • BCP – interacts with CB2 receptors (found in Copaiba)

Cannabis and physcho-activity deal exclusively with CB1 receptors, which are concentrated the brain and the central nervous system.

Copaiba interacts with CB2 receptors, which are concentrated in the immune and endocrine system.  It is physically impossible to feel “high” like with Cannabis when using Copaiba because the two simply do not interact with the same receptors.”

Copaiba supports the health of the cardiovascular, immune, digestive and respiratory systems*, is a powerful antioxidant*, helps soother, and support the nervous system*, promotes clear, smooth skin, and reduces the appearance of blemishes.

Described as spicy and woody in aromatic description, and sourced from the resin of the copaiba tree, found in tropical South America, I simply cannot wait to get my hands on this oil.  This will be a top ten in my collection!
